Thank You Style Me Pretty, KT MERRY, and Sara Jean Events~ Sonoma Lavender Farm

Hello!
I hope you are all enjoying your week!
I have a lot of beautiful images to share with you today, all the images you will see in this post were shot by KT Merry!
I was fortunate to be asked by KT Merry to help style a wedding editorial photo shoot this last June.
The shoot was held in June, and located on a lavender farm in Sonoma, CA.
I can't tell you how much fun I had working with KT Merry, the photographer, and Sara Roeder the event coordinator.
It was an opportunity of a lifetime for me.
We all worked together on the design aspect of the shoot.
I brought almost every french farmhouse antique  I had to the shoot.
Thank you KT Merry and Sara Roeder!
The shoot is also being featured on Style Me Pretty!
You can see the feature by clicking here....
Here are some beautiful images shot by KT Merry for you to enjoy!
Each image is a piece of art!
I love KT's photography, she is incredibly talented!

Custom made headpiece by Jannie Baltzer

Stationary hung from a beekeeper's rack from my shop.
This was one of the items KT had requested I bring to the shoot.
They knew exactly what they wanted to do with it.
I love the stationary designs!
Stationary by Kari Dyas

Is she not the cutest flower girl....
This is Sara's daugher and KT's niece.

The gray french farm table and antique bistro chairs came from my home.

We used a vintage french bar glass holder for the table center piece.

One of my favorite things about the table were the flower arrangements that were tied on the back of my bistro chairs.
These were designed by Blooms by Martha Andrews....

KT Merry had requested I bring antique french documents and lavender bottles.
I have used french documents before as place mats and that is how they wanted to use them for the shoot.

This beautiful menu is designed by Kari Dias

We used my french strawberry crate to house the drinks in....
This is how I discovered that frozen blueberries float...

I love how the gray striped grain sack runner looks with all the lavender bottles.

One of my favorite ways to wrap a gift or package for someone is to wrap it with white tissue paper and tie a couple strands of lavender onto the package with twine.
My sister in law, Nancy, suggested I do this for the shoot....
Sara Roeder taught me a new way to wrap silverware....
I love that the silverware ends are sticking out of the napkin, this is the perfect way to wrap your beautiful vintage silverware so that the beautiful tips are showing.

Antique French Documents~Dreamy Whites

I was in love with the stationary and invitations.

I love how the chandelier turned out.
We tied lavender bundles around a french pastry cooling rack and then hung
antique lavender bottles from the rack.

Here we used my french farm table and french antiques from the shop to create a cheese and bread table.

I love how Sara set up the cheese plate.
She used my french pastry cooling rack for the base and then used one of my french linen towels to set the ironstone plate on....
The cheese tags were designed by Kari Dias.

Sara made some lavender infused honey....
The honey is in a canning jar topped
with a linen cover and tag, both of which were made  by Kari Dias.

It was KT's idea to add my lavender filled french shot bags..... to the open drawer....
I love how the cheese and bread table turned out.

These lavender filled bags would make a unique wedding favor.....

One of my favorite french canisters....
I have similar canisters in my shop.

You can read more about the inspiration behind the event by visiting KT's blog.

I can't tell you how nice KT is, and how easy she is to work with.
She even invited my five kids and husband to come to the shoot.
I brought my two girls and they enjoyed working with KT as well.
Not only is she very talented but has a very sweet personality, that any bride would love to work with....

If you are looking for an event planner/designer, and live in the northern California area,
be sure and check out Sara Jean Events.
Sara Roeder is an event planner/designer and designs weddings in Northern Ca, Nevada, and Arizona.
Sara was great to work with and the entire event ran very smoothly.
I am hoping to work with these two talented girls again someday soon!

On another note....

I have to apologize for taking forever to get this post up....
My daughter, Nicole helped me with the table setting.....
I want to say Happy Birthday to my sweet Nicole.
Nicole turns 17 tomorrow!
Happy Birthday Nicole!

I ended up having to retake pictures and decided to change up the table setting more then just a little bit.

The trick to getting those blueberries to float is....
If you are just adding blueberries to water, then if you pop the
blueberries into the freezer then they will float... : )

However if you are using a drink like Lorina Lemonade that contains carbonated water.....

Then they will float forever.....

I used an antique french bar glass carrier to hold the hydrangeas in.
I was hoping to find a few more blue hydrangeas in my garden for this particular table setting...
I ended up finding mostly green hydrangeas.
Almost all of my hydrangeas have turned green, it happens every year at about this time....
I do love the green color too...

I threw a blue and pink striped grain sack across the table.
I love how this french transferware plate looks paired with this rugged grain sack....

I added blueberries to these antique french jam pots instead of flowers....

Mix and match vintage silverware for a farmhouse feel.

I chose to use this darker blue french transferware instead of the light green transferware,
I wanted a little more contrast with the green hydrangeas.
I didn't want everything to match.

I will be adding french transferware plates to my shop over the next couple of days also.

I will be adding new items to my shop all week!
I will also be holding a sale until September 1st.
Select items will be marked down starting today.

Locks of Love, Jeanne Oliver Designs, and more....

Hello,
I hope you are all having a great week....
I first have to share a picture I took of my daughter today....
Bethany got a haircut today....
She is donating her hair to the Locks of Love.
This is the second time she has done this...
About four years ago Bethany discovered that kids her age might not be as fortunate as she is....
She wanted to do something to make them feel better...
and that was cut her hair and give it to someone who is less fortunate.
She told us then at age 8 she was going to grow her hair long, and cut it again once it was long enough.
I really didn't think she would do it again...

If you haven't ever heard of the Locks of Love you can find out more about them by going here...

It is a great organization and if you or your child is planning on getting at least 10" of hair cut off it is a great way to give
something special to a child that is very ill.

On another note....
I received a beautiful package in the mail today from Jeanne Oliver....
It actually was for Miss Bethany....
We had a hard time wanting to actually open the package....
It was so beautifully wrapped.
Jeanne knew that I wanted to order a bag for Bethany, so she could use it to hold her art supplies....
She sent us the perfect bag...
It fits Bethany perfectly and and holds all of her art supplies.
Thank you Jeanne for your generous gift....
Bethany loves her new tote.

And you are all probably wondering who won Jeanne's Camera Bag...
I am sorry to keep you hanging....
The Winner is Meg....
Congratulations Meg!
Meg also has a very cute blog called
Thank you to everyone who participated in the giveaway....
Thank you Jeanne Oliver Designs for sponsoring such a generous giveaway.
We all love you Jeanne!

Speaking of giveaways....
I hope you get a chance to check out Jennifer Rizzo's blog today....
Jennifer is having a giveaway link party...
Be sure and check out her home while you are over there.
You will find out she is blessed with many talents....

I will be back next week with those table setting tips....
Enjoy your weekend.
Take Care,
Maria
