I wanted to share an amazing story with all of you....
I stumbled upon this blog, The Stylish House, in the middle of the night Sunday, while I was waiting for photos to upload into my blogger.
This is a picture of a beautiful young girl, named Heather.
Heather, sadly suffers from a disease called, Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis.
Heather is in need of a liver transplant.
She needed to find a live donor, with type O blood type.
Cathy, Heather's mom, posted about her daughter's medical condition, on her blog, The Stylish House, and asked if other blogger's would spread the word about her daughter's medical condition.
After reading Cathy's post, another blogger's husband, courageously stepped forward to be Heather's donor.
Heather's donor was officially approved and Heather is set to have surgery November 15th. Cathy will be starting a caring bridge site to keep us all updated on Heather's condition.

That is so amazing on both their parts! It is so great to know that there are wonderful people out there and would do this! My aunt had scleroderma which is essentially the hardening of all tissue, I know what she went through and Heather is truly amazing and inspirational! Prayers will go out and I will visit her site and stay updated. Thank you!

I have to add, I wish that every person in this country would remember to check off that box giving consent to be a donor themselves and place that little red dot on license and information cards.

Maria - You are lovely to post this. It's an emotional story for me as it hits home having gone through this with my brother-in-law. My husband is now on the national list to donate bone marrow. I will keep Heather and her family in my prayers and also Robert and his wife in my prayers. Robert is a wonderful man to step up and do this and obvioulsy has a lot of compassion for others. Bless him. It's a heartwarming story.

Oh such a touching story. I have that blood type...I thought that was the most common donor type. Must have had a special rh factor or something. Thanks for sharing. I'll keep her in my prayers.

First of all, thanks for following my blog, you were one of the first blogs I followed when I started. I love yours! Secondly I was so happy for Cathy and her daughter to have found a donor. She was one of the first bloggers to give me advice on how to set up my blog, as I admired hers. She is a generous and lovely woman.
Never ceases to amaze me what kind hearted people will step up and do for a complete stranger. I wish I could be an organ donor. Unfortunately I too suffer from liver disease. I had leukemia when I was 7yrs old and when I had numerous blood transfusions I ended up contracting Hepatitis C. I found out when I was 19 and have battled with it since. I'm so happy when I see stories like this. I wish both Heather Robert the best of luck in the surgery.
