ReplyDeleteYour pictures are just stunning. Your little frenchie's in the pics are too adorable too. Our family traditionally each year go out and do random acts of kindness all together. It is fun to come up with different ways to share during this time with others and since we do it all together it a fun sharing family time. Sometimes we go out to dinner or lunch together and pick up the table next to us tab or leave a wonderful tip for the wait staff that took care of us. There are so many different fun things we come up with to share with others. Thanks for the chance in this beautiful giveaway.

Gathering for church, dining w family, and being grateful to have each other!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous decor for the holidays. We have a new ornament frame with a photo of our daughter in it each year to hang on the tree. She loves seeing all of her photos over the years and baking gingerbread cookies together
ReplyDeleteAs it is the season of giving each year we try to install the importance of giving in our children by sharing our blessings. Be it Operation Christmas Child boxes, purchasing goats as gifts to African families, wreaths for Veterans or creating blessing bags to pass out to those in need. No matter what we chose we come away merry and bright.
ReplyDeleteHi, our family tradition is to have a real Christmas tree, we make tamales and hot fruit punch, have our xmas dinner on December 24th, then on the 25th we gather around the tree and we give each other our presents taking time to read the messages from the xmas cards many made by hand. These is what we did when living with our parents, today we continue the tradition , the main thing was being together as a family. Thank you for the opportunity to win such a fabulous gifts. God bless you and Merry Christmas! Blanca Martinez

My favorite holiday tradition is our Christmas Eve tradition which starts with a Christmas breakfast for family and close friends (all of us wearing our Christmas PJs) and ending with the girls opening two presents before going to bed. One, a new set of Christmas PJs and a special ornament to be put on the tree. They've got quite the collection now that will be boxed up and given to them once they have their own homes some day.

ReplyDeleteI especially remember Christmas Eve at my house when I was growing up. I come from a large family, and on Christmas Eve, we would have a family (kids only) pajama party. This way, we would all come downstairs at the same time. It was a magical moment.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite traditions is wearing cozy new pajamas on Christmas eve and waking up in them and opening presents on the Christmas day.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and inspiring photos!
ReplyDeleteRegards,
Regina
Amazing items Maria!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite tradition is surprising the girls before they climb into their beds at night. They find a golden ticket on their pillow which means instead of bed they will be grabbing their slippers and we will be going to look at Christmas lights instead. When they climb into the car their seats are full of candies and milk for the ride. We've done this for the past two years and they love it. It's such an easy and free tradition spending time together!
just being with family is Christmas to me.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite tradition is our Christmas Eve party. We invite all the neighbors, friends, and my kids friends all come. Now that one of the kids have moved away, if he cant come back his friends still come. People come throughout the night and the last people leave in the wee hours of the morning. I love this night because it's about the people, not gifts.

We always put on holiday music as we drive by. We usually go on Christmas eve and when we get back home, we open one present! ReplyDeleteThe Advent Season is one of my favorite celebrations. Growing up in the Bavarian countryside of Germany where cold and snowy winter surrounds you most of the time it's been a favorite holiday countdown lingering in the warm rooms and enjoying this festivity with the family. The advent season starts with the first 4th Sunday before Christmas as we light one candle on the advent wreath, have coffee and homemade cookies while enjoying traditional Christmas music and reading books. We continue to do though until all 4 candles have been lit announcing the soon to be arrival of Christmas. Even now that I am in California I hold on to this custom and are enjoying it with my kids and husband.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays to all of you as well!!
I have created several holiday traditions for our family that we enjoy. One of my favorites is taking my mother and daughters for an afternoon and evening at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Mo. The lights and festivities are perfect for happy bonding and a needed shot of fun in such a busy season. Thank you for such a generous giveaway! Merry Christmas!

ReplyDeleteOur family Christmas Eve is very special to me... Presents, friends, German potato salad, a fire going. The years I've been abroad, and haven't been able to come home, I've felt somehow empty. The tradition of Christmas with family is to be cherished and treasured, and I know I do.

ReplyDeleteObsessed. Looking at all of this makes me so happy. What beauty in the way everything is decorated. Our twins are celebrating their first christmas this year and I can't wait to share with them our family christmas eve food traditions - from my great grandma's meatballs, grandma's toffee bars and the norwegian lefse it's a smorgasbord that the entire family takes part in. I can't wait to have the twins help in the preparation of everything once they are older. Instead of gifts with the extended family we write love notes or gratitude notes for everyone and read them aloud during dinner. :)

ReplyDeleteFavorite tradition...I guess the one that really stands out to me is that from the time my kids were babies my mom would have each one of them along with the rest of the grandchildren play a part in re-enacting the nativity scene...costumes and all. Now I my kids are grown and their children are taking their place. Wonderful memories that still continue!!
I shared on my facebook page. Thanks again!!
ReplyDeleteI love the entire Christmas season from Thanksgiving till Christmas. I love decorating and shopping and this holiday combines both.
ReplyDeleteI just shared on my Pinterest board titled Christmas beauty. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of traditions at Christmastime. I think my favorite is going to church Christmas Eve, then coming home for a casual light supper, eating Christmas cookies with hot cranberry punch while we open our stocking gifts. Yes, we do that at night, everyone is relaxed, enjoying being together as a family.

I love going on a drive in our pajamas to see the city's Christmas lights.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about this a lot lately. Growing up my Grandma would make all of these homemade goodies and bring them to our house for Christmas. She would bring them in a laundry basket. She would also have wrapped gifts in a basket. She was all alone and would spend all of that time making it special for her grandchildren. I do that now for my children when we go to Grandma and Grandpa's. Makes me want to cry thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteI make goodies for the neighborhood. I also try to remember those people so many forget. Like the mail man and the bus drivers for my children, the helpers at school. I just surprise them with roses, etc. to show my love and appreciation.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing to do is gather with friends, head up to the mountains, we all choose a tree to take home. Then we build a small fire to have hot cocoa listen to one of the families sing Christmas carols. It is a tradition I have done since I was a little girl an it will live on for generations.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and thank you for your generosity.
Our favorite tradition is going to cut down a fresh tree, coming home to hot chocolate and Christmas classics.
ReplyDeleteFor as long as I can remember my family bakes and decorates a Gingerbread House(s) for Christmas. The tradition continues with my nieces. On New Year's Eve my brothers entertain everyone by blowing up the houses with fire crackers. I'll never forget the first time my brothers did it. No one knew what was going to happen. The look on my Mom's face will forever be etched into my mind.
ReplyDeleteI emailed this to my Dad. He is from Germany and loves the traditional European Christmas.
ReplyDeleteOne of our favorite family tradition during the holidays is decorating the tree together with music and later choosing names secret santa gifts. Oh...and everyone of your photos are over the top FaBuLous!

Your home is just beautiful. I enjoyed all the pictures. Had to smile at the pup or
ReplyDeletepups.
Our traditions have changed since our children have families of their own. I must saying finding a special gift for each grandchild and watching the smiles on their faces.

One of my favorite family traditions is how we spend Christmas Eve... We gather together and attend our Christmas Eve Church service and then come home and put the star on the top of the tree. Each year the kids rotate who gets to do it. Then our kids open their secret Santa gifts from one another and new jammies from us to wear to bed.
