The Amador County Fair

Hello!
I wanted to share a few images I shot of the kids at the Amador County Fair....
You can visit my facebook wall if you would like to see more images of the kids showing their steers at the fair...
Bethany actually wasn't supposed to be smiling at me in this picture, she was supposed to be paying attention to the judge... : )

The girls getting ready to go wash their steers off for the evening....

My son Trent won reserve Champion Market Steer.....

Nicole won the county 4-H local bred class....

Sunday is the final day of the fair......

********************************
On a final note....
It is so hard for me to believe how much my three older kids have changed in the past year...
Honestly I am not quite ready for it....
Nicole will soon be turning 18 and is a senior in high school....
Trent is 15 and wears a size 14 shoe and is about to pass his Dad up in height...
Bethany is now officially a teenager...
Where does time go?
It goes way too quickly that is for sure : (

Enjoy the rest of your weekend...
Take Care,
Maria

  1. don't be sad they are growing up, be happy you have done a fantastic job bringing them up to be gorgeous young adults with passions... I have a 19yr old girl and 17yr old boy.. it is hard when you remember them as fun loving children but exciting to see them achieve great things as grown ups.
    Well done! :)

  2. Congrats to the kids on their achievements.
As a Mother of two adult children I can say that although it is scary to see them grow so quickly, it's rewarding in a new way. Your relationships with them will change into something with even more depth. Enjoy every moment with them.

Great photos of your lovely children! Yes, it seems our four children grew in a flash. But now we have three little grandchildren, and with those sweet little girls, it seems like we get to do it all over again. Pure joy!

But you've done a wonderful job with them and they are absolutely beautiful!!
Hope you have a lovely day.

  11. Congratulations to your kids. I know how much work and time the kids commit working with and preparing the cattle for shows. My guys have been to a few hosted shows and the fairs start at the end of August.

  12. OH how fun! Congratulations to you kids and to you too because I know you put in lots of hard work as well. I know it is crazy how quickly they grow! Our eldest just graduated and the other two won't be far behind! If anything I'm learning to take it one day at a time...

  18. Congrats to your kids on their wins. And when it comes to kids growing up the time does fly by doesn't it?! I can't believe that our daughter will be 25 in just a few months and that our son will be 21 before we know it.

  21. beautiful kids! I was in 4H growing up and my brothers always had steers! I had a market hog and one of my brothers and I had a small herd of dairy cows that we showed, I treasure those times so much and LOVE seeing pics of your kids doing those things! Now that I am all grown up (wink) and living eight hundred miles from home raising my own little family I am even more aware of what a gift that lifestyle was, for it is not everywhere, your children will be blessed by it for sure! Thanks for sharing!
