Living Room, Gordon Hill Flower Shop, Ornamental Kale, and a French Apple Basket

Hello!
I still haven't finished writing my living room post, so I thought I would share at least one image today....
Can you guess what is missing?

I will share a few more details about the changes I made on Monday....

I also wanted to share a link to my favorite flower shop.....
It is a family owned and operated flower shop....
They have the best selection of flowers and their flowers always last for a long time....
I have been being so good and not buying any fresh flowers.....
I had to run into their shop last week and couldn't resist....

I haven't ever used ornamental kale before and love it....
They last a long time....
This particular basket is a vintage french apple basket that I will be listing in my shop...
I wanted to show how it could also be used as a gathering basket in the garden by filling it with flowers.....
I love to use these baskets for storing many different odds and ends items such as linens and ribbon....

This little french pie safe that the basket sits on is one of my favorite pieces I have had for a number of years....
At the moment I use it to house my french ironstone collection, that I use on a regular basis....
I have used it as a vcr cabinet, coffee table, a night stand and well just about everything imaginable....
It sits in between my kitchen and dining area....
Sorry it looks a little awkward sitting right where the tile meets the laminate floor area....
I love it here though...
I do not normally have a basket filled with fresh flowers on it either....
I like to keep a collection of blue french canning jars on top for a splash of color....

Also there is still time to enter my Raw Materials Design French Waiter Giveaway......
: )

Enjoy your weekend!
Take Care,
Maria

Hi Maria~~~~

Love the little cabinet--Yummy. I see Kale all the time in gardens, but never thought to use it in a bouquet. Great idea:)

As far as what is missing in your LR??? The mantle???? Just a guess.
Hope you have a great weekend and I hope all is well with you and your family.

My guess for what is missing is your faux fireplace mantel. The huge white chalkboard is in its place? Love it!

Maria,

Where do I begin? I adore the chippy vintage robins egg blue cabinet, your basket full of blooms, the light that saturates your living space, the chalk board...Can't wait to see more!
(Be sure to stop by and see my bathroom renovation.)

I have used ornamental kale for a long time. I like that no matter what the season or whatever greenery/flower you put it with the kale works perfectly. It really is like a rose.
I use it at Christmas with draped cedar and it looks spectacular with blue hydrangea.
I love your little blue cabinet - it could be used in any room.

Not seeing the sectional sofa in front of the black board and the angle of the room is not revealing enough, such a mistery at this point, can't wait to see the BIG REVEAL... Every peaceful inch of it :)

I am working on some French farmhouse pieces I am building them from scraps of this and that and salvage from the wood pile. I will soon be posting a euro chic piece here and there in my home.

Good and pure Sunday to you, a beautifully inspiring week to follow.

Thanks for taking this opportunity to discuss this, I feel fervently about this and I like learning about this subject. If possible, as you gain information, please update this blog with more information. I have found it really useful. A florist red deer is a person developing floral preparations and selling them. The plant shop covers floral preparations, which is an art of making flowers, structure of decorative lawn, herbs, foliages and flowers leading to a beautiful design.

I love all the pieces we see in the first image. I have serious blackboard envy and would love one just like yours- am inspires to get hubby to knock one up out of our recycled antique skirting which is painted white. I love all the different chairs in that room too- very serene. xxCorrina.
