Hello,
I hope you are all enjoying your week!
I wanted to share an updated picture of my bedroom....
I will be sharing a few details about my room next week, and will be hosting a fun
giveaway.
*****************************
I wanted to also share how I ended up coming up with this french staircase....
The image below is a picture of my space at the Chateau Sonoma French Flea Market...
I have had my eye on this staircase at the Chateau Sonoma the past couple of years.
I was more then thrilled when I found out I got to use it as a display piece
in my space at the show...
I then had to take it home with me...
I had hoped to display the staircase the way it is shown at the flea market facing outward in my living room.
Unfortunately that didn't work, it stuck way too far out into the living room : (
Luckily it worked facing the staircase the other direction otherwise it would
be for sale at this time : )
****************************
On another note...
I wanted to say thank you to Meredith Publishing for publishing images of our home
A special thank you to Sarah Alba who is responsible for getting our home published in the book, and also was the stylist for the shoot. Paul Dyer was the photographer, and I can't tell you how much I loved both of them....It was such a great experience and I learned so much!
Paul was even kind enough to share photography tips with me as well.
I loved everything Sarah did to my house....
Sarah recreated the shot I did with the hydrangeas in the bucket that
I had posted on my blog last spring.
A picture of Sarah working her magic : )
This ended up being one of my favorite shots...
I love how Sarah simplified my mantle by just adding a few sea glass bottles and three french apothecary jars with the Mirabelle labels from my shop.
***************************
I know it is summer when my kids are hanging around in their swim trunks and
cowboy boots.... I don't ever want these moments in life to end : (
I just wish my kids could stay little.
I am making sure to stop and enjoy these little moments with my kids...
Enjoy your week!
Take Care,
Maria
p.s. I have been working on product pictures will finally have some new products listed in my shop soon!

Awww what a cute shot of your son and puppy! I have to say I love that photo of the mantle too~so pretty with the bottles and the bucket of flowers.
ReplyDeleteSimply stunning, and that staircase in your living room is absolutely divine! Your home looks gorgeous in the book - and much to my husbands dismay, I can tell that it's going to be another Amazon, 'must have' to add to my ever growing collection of interiors books - I'm an absolute addict, and this one is a definite!
ReplyDeleteYour son is SO cute - I too share those wistful thoughts about children, Summer and happy times being over too soon. I think that every Mom has moments when she wishes she could bottle up some of that childhood magic, and hold it close to her heart for ever!
Best wishes from England,
Paula x
