Hello Everyone....
I wanted to share a few images (actually a lot of images) I shot yesterday.....
I thought it would be okay to show again....
Filling a bucket with branches is one of my favorite things to do for fall....
Sometimes that is the only thing I will do for fall decorating along with scattering a few pumpkins around the house.
I also love to set pears around the house, sometimes scattered or displayed in an ironstone dish.....
They add so much color to your home, and you get to eat your decorations.....
The kids and I found these branches at a flower market in San Francisco....
I was so excited to find branches....
I usually just cut my own branches however the leaves haven't changed color here yet....
We are still waiting for cold weather : )

We are still waiting for cold weather : )
(At the bottom of the post you will see what other fall foliage we found at the market as well)
The porcelain topped canning jars are a favorite of mine....
I hope I never get sick of these....
I try to buy these whenever I find one, and I don't find them very often....
This vintage french zinc bucket will make it's way in the shop soon.....
I hung these branches with berries from the door....
We also found these at the flower market.
I haven't ever seen these before, I was told they come from the East Coast, and are Bittersweet branches, thank you Lara : )
On another note.....
I wanted to show you an easy way to disguise an apple cider label....
I had also shown this two years ago on my blog, I thought it would be fun to photograph it again...
I just wrap a vintage french linen towel around the jug and tie some jute twine around the towel to hold it in place....
My favorite apple cider is 365 Organic Apple Juice...
I use it to make hot apple cider.....
You can find the recipe here.......
Then just tuck in some of your favorite fall foliage......
*********************************
I also wanted to share an image from my phone of the variety of fall foliage the kids and I found at the flower market in San Francisco....
They had so much beautiful fall foliage we definitely didn't leave empty handed....
How do you like to decorate for fall?
On a final note....
If you are in Santa Barbara County area this weekend,
you should be sure and check out the Remnants of the Past Show.....
So many wonderful vendors are there.....
and everyone decorates so beautifully for fall and you will not leave the show empty handed : ) ....
Judy Watkins has made it so you can now shop Friday night at the show....
You can visit Judy's website for more information.....
Hope you all have a great weekend!
Take Care,

Beautiful post! Love those fall colors with those gorgeous jars and bottles! :)
My mom was going out and cutting oak branches and arranging them in an old milk can back in early seventies. It was the only way she could afford to decorate for Autumn, but she would be right in style these days! Love the simple touches of nature....so beautiful!
As always, your photos are just lovely. I like to decorate for fall with as many natural elements as I can find. All the branches and berries around your home are just gorgeous, especially surrounded by vintage treasures. Have a great weekend!
Beautiful! LOVE your photo of the bittersweet!!
So pretty Maria! Wish we had a flower market like Frisco/LA around my parts :) Cant complain though....we have beautiful fall foliage to LOOK at. I keep eyeballing my neighbors pretty maple tree that is all kinds of fall colors right now - so amazing.

Just beautiful. It is Springtime here, which I love, but your photos almost make me wish for autumn and the gorgeous colours! I wonder if you have blogged about tips on taking photos before? If not I'd love to read any hints on great photos you may have. Your blog is always a pleasure to visit! Alison
Absolutely gorgeous photos!
Gorgeous photos! Bittersweet grows here in Ohio and it's my favorite fall berry.
Your photos are always so beautiful, Maria. :) I had to smile at your excitement at finding all of those autumn forest treasures....when all I have to do is walk behind my barn to pick them up from the ground. :) But the thrill you shared truly made me appreciate the beauty that my little corner of the world offers.

Love the branches and their vibrant colors beautifully arranged in the old bucket.
Beautiful...!!!
Beautiful! Too often, branches are overlooked. They're especially nice in the early Spring - to 'force' into bloom indoors!
Yes, the berries are Chineese bittersweet, rather invasive and easily sown via bird droppings. Native American bittersweet berries are much larger and grow in clusters at the end of its branches.
Happy Fall!!!
your killin me!
