The Paint Color and Formula for my Living Room~Martha Stewart Gray Pearl

Hello!
I often get asked what color of paint I used for our living room...
It is a Martha Stewart color from Lowes, called Gray Pearl.  Unfortunately you can no longer get the Martha Stewart colors at Lowes.  I was able to get the formula from our Lowes as they still had the color in their system.

The paint formula is...
101-13.5, 107-19, 109-1
This formula is for a one gallon can of paint...
I used the Valspar Signature Satin Finish at Lowes.

Just a warning if the room you are painting doesn't have a lot of natural light coming in this color can appear very "muddy".  I actually painted our other living room that is now my work studio this color and it didn't work, the walls ended up looking muddy instead of gray....
I also painted my kitchen cupboards last summer the Gray Pearl color.....

You can see the kitchen cupboards in the background.
Because the modular home we live in has a very open floor plan, the living room, dining room, and kitchen are all open to each other.  I wasn't sure if it would be weird to have the walls the same color as the cupboards... By painting the cupboards the same color as the walls I think it helped tie the kitchen into the rest of the room.....
I will eventually show more images of the kitchen in the future.

On another note....
I had to share this image I found on my cell phone yesterday....
My daughter, Bethany had a little photo shoot with her lop eared bunnies using my phone....

We added a vintage florabella action to Bethany's image.....

Enjoy your weekend!
Take Care,
Maria

Thank you so much Maria for the formula!! I tried to get Gray Pearl a couple of weeks ago and Lowe's no longer had it.I love the way it looks on the cabinets and walls. It looks a bit different on the cabinets than it does on the wall anyway and really looks lovely.
Have a great weekend.
Sincerely,
Melinda

I love this color! I want to paint our family room but it does not get a lot of natural light...we have two windows but it is still a bit dark. What would you recommend taken the pearl grey up a notch?

Don't you love finding "surprise" photos that your kids have taken on you phone?

Your blog is such inspiration because I too love the soft neutral colours but opted for natural calico as the neutral. We have two lionhead house bunnies so love your two ...

Don't know if you'll remember me, Maria, but I just moved into my little farmhouse last summer - I haven't painted yet - I need to get a sense of things. Your gray is definitely inspiring as a soothing and clean backdrop for all things rustic and textural. I truly love your blog. Thanks to Bethany for the bunnies - they're my new droid background! So sweet!

Maria,

I just painted a wall in my family room this color. It almost looks like there is a green/grey in the mix? The prior color was a beige/grey and I wanted to lighten it up as we proceed to refinish our cabinets and molding (from oak to white). I also got the dairy white color for a wall in my living room AND I painted my table the white color that you have used (love it!)

I'm need to just keep going with this color as I'm sure it will look great when the whole room is done.

I was curious if you ever considered changing the layout
of your website? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it
better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or 2 pictures.

Maybe you could space it out better?
