A Unique Hat Stand For the Cowboy in the House

Do you have a lamp that can't be used? Maybe it just needs rewired or maybe its broken? I found this lamp for just $10 and wasn't quite sure what I was going to do with it. (There is a reason it was only $10.00, it is broken at the base and is not safe to use as a working lamp)

My husband's hats always end up on the dresser. This little guy seems to do the trick of keeping them in one spot.

Depending on what mood I am in, it gets moved from one dresser to the next.

Or if I am tired of seeing them all together, I can just take them off. Just thought I would share a different use for an old broken lamp.

I want to thank ALL of YOU again for all of your encouragement. Your thoughtful comments mean the world to me. You are the BEST!

What a great idea! You're right...if something jumps out at you, and you just love it, but don't know exactly what to do with it yet...you should bring it home and at some point a creative solution will present itself.
Love your home...and love that you repurpose beautiful things!
Have a great day...

What a great lamp! I like your creative use of it. But I would agree that getting it fixed would be a good idea "down the road"

I've of places in my area and can't seem to find the things I'm looking for. I've been looking for a chair like the one in your living room and can't seem to find one.

Love this idea. My cowboy's hats always end up in the most inconvenient places around the house. What a pretty way to keep them contained. Now...what to do about his boots.lol

Perfect.

I love the yin-yang life you live with a cowboy in your light and airy space. It grounds your space perfectly - the cowboy touches add that little salt to the sweetness - to make the perfect combo!

Happy Thursday, sweet Maria~

Thank you so much for the sweet comment on my blog. It is always fun to have new followers :) The base on that lamp in your photos is so cool, I love anything white and chipped.. So, your sister is an RN? What area does she specialize in?

I love the lamp! Unfortunatly, I'm not married to a cowboy...so no cool hats.
I wonder what else you could with a beautiful...broken...lamp?

Love your lamp! I have an old floor lamp (the kind with three "arms") serving holding towels in my bathroom. It could also work for coats or robes. I love finding new uses for old objects.
